How to make a car fit for the prom?

My boyfriend is taking his little sister to her prom in his BMW and he wants to do something to make it look a bit more special for her and her friends. We were thinking maybe ribbon like wedding cars have but we don't know where to buy suitable ribbon and how to attach it. Any ideas?
