Can i connect my iphone to an internet connection using windows xp on my laptop?

Hi my iphones wifi antenna is broken so it does not pick up on any wifi signals no matter how close you are to the router. I was wondering is it possible to connect my iphone to the internet using the usb cord attached to my laptop if my laptop is picking up a wireless signal. Im not trying to teather a connection i just want to get internet for my iphone using my laptops wifi connection. please help. by the way i would need to know how to do this using windows xp
