He offered to meet you he did not propose marriage. You need to keep your other options open and not cut off contact with the others. That was your choice he did not tell you to do that. The way you talk here I can guarantee you that you will not last with him. He is being practical because he does not know how things will go til after he meets you. You on the other hand are making a lot of assumptions and yes you are claiming some kind of ownership of him.
