How can I talk my parents into letting me get hamsters again?

I actually completely understand you....I have had 2 hamsters and one, while my family was on a vacation, was staying at a friends house and got stuck in their walls. They literally torn down their walls searching for her......My other one died of heat...:(. I have gotten my mom to get me another by not begging, but by taking steps. Like, start with a fish, them move up to 3 fish until you reach the point of hamster. Also show your parents that you are responsible and will be the one to clean cage, etc.....You should also tell your parents (and mean it) that you would be able to handle it's death......That's how I do it.
